An excursion to Tapia de Casareigo, Luarca, Cudillero
Dear Blog,
On Sunday, July 12th, we went on a full day excursion to three beach towns! It was from the ripe hour of 9:30 am to 6:30pm. The towns are all a beautiful blur and in some photos im not sure which is which, being all beach and fishing towns.
An hour and a half bus ride later from Oviedo, we arrived at the first town Tapia de Casareigo.Straight off the bus I felt a smile grow on my face. It had the most charm in my opinion, that small beach town charm!
This town was very popular for their surfing, having many small and long waves, making it the perfect environment for a beginner. Probably not ideal for an experienced surfer though!
A lone fisherman
What used to be a historic local fish farm and lobster hatchery, was turned into a very green natural sea pool. The pool naturally fills with water during high tide so it gets refreshed every so often.
We only got to walk around for about 15 minutes and I was a bit sad to come back to the bus.
Then we headed to Luarca.
Our tour guide said he would be buried one day in this graveyard. Kind of morbid to hear but it was a great place to be destined to be buried in.
We walked to where the town was and took in the sights.
Lots of little shops and cool stuff like that, had a really calm vibe there.
While we were eating our sandwiches looking out at the boats, a chill fisherman squeezed by us to rope in his boat or something. It was cool to see a real fisherman at work.
After that we went to the last town which was Cudillero.
How cute!
We wandered around for a bit, peeked into shops and got waaaay too expensive drinks. Felt like it was worth it though because I rode my buzz all the way home.
All in all this excursion was great. I was grateful to be able to get to learn about these towns and experience what they had to offer. Shoutout our tour guide as well!
