May 24th Excursion Pt. 1
Dear Blog,
We went on an excursion on Saturday May 24th, first to Talamone. A beach town in Tuscany, on the west coast of central Italy. It was a short and scenic bus ride and we stopped at a very cute and eclectic gas station. They had a cute fluffy dog soaking up the sun, guarding the front. They had fresh baked cakes sitting in glass tins, old toys and trinkets sitting in glass cabinets, sun-hats, a refrigerator selling red bulls for 3 euro 50, and a sweet old lady running the counter.
We got to Talamone and took a short tour of the town and were followed by beetles that kept landing in our hair and on our clothes. I couldn't really focus on the tour because of the beetles but the views were still beautiful. I love looking at the sea.
We then walked down to the beach and set our stuff down on some rocks and jumped in. No time to waste. The water was perfect. Cold, blue as hell and refreshing. It was so nice to be in the ocean after so long.
After a while some other people from the program came to where we were and we took turns jumping in. My main boy justin brought a speaker and it was just too good. Ocean view, a pb&j sandwich, my besties, some good tunes and it's in Italy, it cant get much better. Then, sadly, it had to end and we took the bus to our next destination.
