Budapest day two
Dear Blog,
Good morning from Budapest! We all woke up incredibly hungover and I wouldn't have had it any other way!! We got a beautiful easter Sunday brunch at around 12:30 and then recapped the night. Few things are better than laughing with your friends about the night before. The morning debrief, or in our case the afternoon debrief is essential and you really can't go on with your day until you get the juicy details of everyones night.
This was what we spoke over.
It was time to recoup in the sun. I hoped the rays would wash my headache away and get me ready for the cruise at 6.
We lay in the grass for a while with some sweet and fruity teas. I drew the scenes around me and felt quite serene.
Then we went to the easter market and looked at beautiful shops and beautiful displays.
These mfs went hard. I was so hype. Maybe too hype.
Then Tessa got a $25 hot dog. AW HELL NAW.
After exploring some more we took a power nap and soon enough it was time for our booze cruise.
I was so excited but could not bare the thought of drinking more due to the events of last night, we also had to leave for our flight at 2:15 am the next day, if you can even call it day. I tried not to focus on that and just enjoy the cruise, and enjoy the cruise I did.
I was elated, surrounded with the fleeting and beautiful sights of Budapest. I could not sit down, though most everyone I was with was sitting. I could not.
I went to the upper deck, lower deck and to each side of the boat, many times and met so many nice people.
I drank a whopping 2 glasses of prosecco at the unlimited prosecco river cruise but I still felt I got my moneys worth 100%. After the cruise was over we watched the sunset then grabbed some grub.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Budapest and would come back. When our taxi driver dropped us off at the airport at 3 am he waved to us and said "Bye Budapest!"
What a sweet ending to an even sweeter trip.
Bye Budapest!
