get the cold foam

 Hello blog,

Today I was recommended to get the cold foam, the maple cold foam, with my iced matcha latte. I obliged because when a barista tells me to get something, I get it. I feel they only want the best for me. And who am I to say not to a stylish 20 something who spends hours upon hours working at the hip coffee shop down the block?

I have never got cold foam and I was not disappointed, I was anything but. My first sip was straight foam, sweet spiced maple-ey foam, it was decadent and great. I found myself drowning in the sweet cream that sat atop my matcha throne. In addition, I got the maple foam for free and free things always, always taste better. This matcha was already better tough. Jazz also makes things taste better. Birdland by Weather Report played nicely, paired with the semi indistinct chatter of a coffee shop. Beautiful. Truly beautiful.

I now have run into an issue. I have class at 12 PM. It is 11:48 AM. And I am plagued with the disease of being a "slow sipper".
Slow Sipper: The slow sipper is someone who naturally consumes drinks at a very slow pace, finishing moderately sized flavored drinks in around 70 minutes if not rushed. The slow sipper cannot chug and must taste the whole drink throughly with each sip.

Not a common habit and it mostly is perks but in times like this.... when I wouldn't be willing to waste even a drop of this beautifully crafted matcha but I am on a time crunch, unable to speed up my sipping process.... it is a plight of man.

It is now 11:58 AM. My class starts in 2 minutes and I am not only just 2/3rds of the way done with my matcha. But I am also a 7 minute bike ride away from my lecture hall. So I sit here, I am sisyphus pushing his sweet rock as it seems I will never reach the bottom of this cup.
