An update on my apple book
Anyone who knew me in freshman year of college knows about my apple book. But not many people seem to know about it now.
My apple book has become a project of impending doom and gloom, as I started working on it more than 3 years ago. It started as a project of curiosity, vigor, and lust for life.
I have collected 179 apple stories thus far but I only deem 93 fit to put in my apple book, I am aiming to put in 111 stories. I am now, once again back at square one, on the hunt for more people who are willing to tell me a story about an apple. It feels great to be back, to ask instead of tell. But how did we get here?
I first thought I was going to rewrite each story onto one book by hand, print out the photos that go with each story on my photo printer and tape them to the page. That proved to be a bit too time consuming, but the real reason I didn't go with that was because of the lack of consistency in my writing style.
Even though I used the exact same Black 05 Point Fine Line Pigma Micron pen, many pages ended up looking different due to how I was feeling. The photos didn't work too well either due to issues with the printer and quality of photos.
I decided to instead type out my stories onto Microsoft word and input all 111 photos into Microsoft word as well. I hope this all works out when I eventually try to get it in the works with a publisher. Who knows what type of document holder, maker or whatever a publisher uses!
As soon as I had an abundance of free time, I transcribed every single remaining story (about 60) onto my word doc in a matter of a day and a half. The cloud of gloom and doom and 3 separate notebooks full of apple stories hanging over my head turned into nothingness, I could sleep soundly once again.
More updates will come on my apple book as I get closer and closer to the finish line.
