Seattle, land of dreams and expensive meals

Dear Blog,

This past weekend I visited Seattle to see my friend's hometown. We stayed at her family's house and it was too sweet, shoutout Lily's Mom, Dad and Grandma!!!!!

We visited Pike Place market, incredible, obviously. Flowers, fish, postcards, jewelry, random pickled things, this market had it all. I was overcome with joy in this market and felt like Anthony Bourdain for real. People were buzzing by from every direction, chattering about what smoked fish they should take home or that they've "really been into blackberries lately".

I tried samples of nectarines, salmon, cinnamon tea, and even got a free fat red cherry because a vendor liked my weird looking camera. I kept losing my friends because I would stop to marvel at the most perfect bunches of flowers I had ever seen.

We got (an expensive) lunch to refuel then got to shopping. We went to a huge thrift store that was divided into sections of different sellers, the sellers weren't there but their carefully curated selections of things were.

After shopping we needed a coffee!! I got an iced lavender matcha that was a grand total of $8.47 with tip. Robbed in broad daylight I was.

We then went to some exclusive pop up sale, but sale was not the right word to describe this event I will tell you that. I still felt cool to be in the know. After that we went to the lake and skipped rocks and I made a telescope out of wood.

Then it was time. For something we had all been looking forward to. Din. Tai. Fung. All I can say is shoutout DTF.
