Donut shops

Dear Blog,

If you are lost you can find perfection in a shop where donuts are laid out on tin trays, cheap and there is no AC.

These places stand the test of time and for good reason.

This donut shop was called Donut House. It was genuinely perfect stop. I hope it stays there forever.

I haven't been to a donut shop in so long. I missed looking at dozens and dozens of stereotypical donuts all laid out in rows. I always got the pink sprinkle one as a kid. I didn't even like the strawberry frosting really. I got it just because I thought it looked cute.

I have a dream of being old one day and coming home with that pink box and reading the newspaper and drinking my coffee and eating an apple fritter donut. What is it with old people and always eating either the maple bar or the apple fritter. Who knows!

My go to order now is a couple of donut holes. I think it is because of church. Whenever I went to church on Sundays they would have coffee and a big box of donut holes. You grabbed one or two and went into service. I think they were Pavloving us into liking Sunday service. Then the church switched to Oreos and it all went downhill.
