One day or day one Budapest

 Hello Blog,

And hello Budapest! I decided to archive my angry blog about the hassle it took to Budapest and instead only focus on the positives. As we took our taxi to our newly found Airbnb, I looked at the city at night. I loved it, bright lights, some old buildings, some new, I could not wait to run around in the day. We slept, it was a good sleep.

The first step we took our of our beds was a step towards brunch. Brunch was the only thing on the mind and thank god it was. From going to pastries in the morning for weeks in Italy to this.

It was grand.

Shoutout an eggs benedict

The food was great but what was even greater was the staff. Not even just the staff was nice but every single person we met in Budapest who was Hungarian was extremely nice and always ended the conversation with "enjoy your stay!"

We met a dog outside of the brunch place named Bacon, he was so cute.
Then it was time to hit the town!

We had to first cross the bridge because we were in Pest and we needed to get to Buda. Crossing the bridge was so cool. There were little locks with peoples names or initials on it. I love looking at those, I love looking at love.
Boats cruised under us, people climbed on top of the bridge to take photos, and tons of tourists stopped every second to take a photo, of course I was one of them.

We walked to the castle and we were all in awe.
This is The Church of Our Lady Buda castle

After getting all our ooo's and aaa's out we watched tourists mill around from the view above.
I think I like looking at tourists as much as I like looking at sights. Seeing a random bald man in a Hawaiian shirt, kaki pants and flip flops in Europe makes my heart skip a beat.

After walking almost 15,000 steps we were pretty hungry so we went to a Thai place and it was hellllllllla good. We went in on a whim! and we were not disappointed.
Really nice decor inside.
here is the menu Kayla was looking at
For what this soup lacks in looks, it makes up for in flavor. Tom Kha Gai is traditionally made with chicken, coconut milk and spices like lemongrass, galangal and kaffir (lime leaves).

After dinner at a greek place we clubbed the night away and tucked in around 5 am.
